If you are a Sauvignon Blanc fan – or if you’re less enamoured with the gooseberry tang often associated with New Zealand varieties – then do try this one from Chile. There’s a lot more going on; it’s a lovely, peachy, tropical Sauvignon Blanc. Yes, the gooseberries are still there but do not take centre stage. It’s gentle and balanced – grapefruit and apricots, with a bit of minerality – rather than overly acidic.
